Registered Nurse
$55.00/hr
The Ron Wilson Center supports and enhances the lives of adults 18yrs of age and older experiencing Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities.
Qualified applicant is a Registered Nurse through the Oregon State Board of Nursing, with an unencumbered license; at least 2 yrs. experience, preferably in an I/DD setting. This position develops and maintains Nursing Care Plans (NCPs), various Protocols, etc., after completion of nursing assessment. Ensures appropriate medical follow-up on the health and medical needs as identified in the Individual Support Plan, including NCP’s/Protocols; writes annual NCP’s and/or initial protocol(s) in collaboration with RWC Management. Revises documents, notifies RWC of concerns, attends risk assessment meetings as well as interdisciplinary meetings, etc. as needed. Maintains their own documentation, makes visits to various locations to meet documentation, assessment and training needs for each identified Nurse Patient Relationship; meet with HCR, Guardians, if needed, etc.
Trains and delegates nursing tasks to unlicensed personnel such as CBG’s, injections, trains protocols and performs other tasks within scope of practice. Demonstrates professionalism within the agency, at various meetings, and within the community; is a positive team player, self-motivated, available for consult in an emergency, and has excellent communication skills, etc. Coordinates with management regarding an individual’s health and medical assessments/concerns, etc.
Requirements:
Receive approval to work after a background check through the State of Oregon and possess and maintain Professional Liability Insurance for a Registered Nurse.
